Popular with high-end English-speaking travelers

Our 3 nights here was definately one of the highlights of our 3-week vacation. This is a beautiful manor with sophisticated tastes (statues and fresh flowers in the grand lobby overlooking Lake Como). The view from our quiet and elegant room was breathtaking. I believe that this is the hotel that Queen Elizabeth and Chancelor Adenour (not sure of the spelling here) chose, and with good reason. Each evening, dinner is served on the 5th floor and there is a piano bar on the 4th floor where my wife and I danced one evening away (by the way, this is not disco dancing here, we’re talking about fox trot, rhumba, swing, and other ballroom favorites). However, we found that some of the local eateries were more interesting since we had never been to the region before. The location is great for those who want to explore the Lake region, and it is only a short 15-20 minute drive to Switzerland where you can spend a day exploring Lake Lugano which we highly enjoyed and highly recommend (take the tram ride up the Alps for a beautiful view of the Lake, then continue the tram ride around the city of Lugano). The guests at Cadenabia are the more elder and sophisticated sort from all over Europe, but this is a very popular resort with British travelers so English is spoken by all the staff. We had a great time here and are thinking of when we can return. Bon Voyage!!!

Great Location, Lots o’ Room

We were able to walk to a number of restaurants and taverns, and the ferry to Bellagio is very close. They did not charge for parking. The staff was very welcoming and our room faced the lake and was HUGE. There is a small area to sunbathe and nice pool to swim laps. There were a lot of elderly British tourists around the hotel.
