Very pleasant place
We were in San Sebastian for the film festival and were very pleased with the Villa Soro. Walking distance to town and free wifi made for a very pleasant stay.

Impressive Retreat
We spent a few days at this hotel in early August, 2007. The hotel is very impressive. When you arrive, it seems that you are on a busy road, but the hotel is very quiet, and is literally several minutes of a pleasant stroll to the beach, and many restaurants and bars. The staff are trained to a very high standard, and very responsive. Arranging bicycles, beach towels and bottled water for excursions speedily. Staff also recommended and booked restaurants for us. The roome we had was in the new wing at the back. Large room, very large bathroom and pleasant terrace. We had the breakfast delivered to our terrace and it was very good quality, and value. There were really only two negatives, and both were small really. The TV had minimal English Speaking channels (only CNN). Perhaps the hotel could add BBC News 24, or Discovery Channel. The air-con in the room was quiet, but never seemed to get the temperature below 19 or 20 degrees C. Very small observations. Overall, I would (and indeed HAVE already) recommended this hotel as a top-tier establishment and worth a visit.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
San Sebastian is a great place with several nice beaches. The old town is great with winding streets, and great tapas. Aquarium is worth a visit. Small but impressive. Hotel staff very good with local advice.
