Pretty Good

Hotel staff was very helpful, Metro was close by about 5 minute walk to Omonia station and square, good access to everywhere on the Metro (10-15 min to Acropolis and Plekea area for eats). Not many eateries in the area. Breakfeast and dinner at hotel very expensive, found an outdoor Greek cafe up the street for breakfeast coffee and rolls. Inexpensive and pretty good. Sandwiches available also. Once you walk through the druggie area, it’s about 1/2 block and they don’t seem to bother you and it’s only in the late eve (8-11 PM). Hotel was clean and quite. Down the street (about 3-4 blocks) was the archalogical museum. Quite impressive (is a must see). Price was right and stay there againif I were to go back to Athens.

Mid October is good time to go, weather is pleasant. Tip from airport ~ 50 Euros, arrange and pay thru hotel and have cab meet you at airport or you can take the Metro (a lot less expensive) to the center of Athens and cab it from there (depending on time you arrive and how tired you are).

AWESOME! Experience

The Hotel was excellent, the staff pretty knowledgable (about metro, directions on foot, etc.) The breakfast however was too expensive for what they offered. Stop at a local cafe in the morning instead. You have to check out lycabettus Hill, and the resteraunt located on the hill (the view is priceless, and the food was great! You have to try the Moussaka)

Traveler's tip on local attractions

If you are traveling in the summer months, drink plenty of water, wear comfortable shoes
