Great value
This hotel is a great value. It is "no frills" and could use some decor in the rooms, but it was clean and fairly comfortable. A/C worked well, but don’t count on a hot shower. Very nice pool. Restaurant overlooking beach has good and well-priced food. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
Traveler's tip on dining
Don’t miss the Taco Bar in nearby Jaco. A spicy calamari taco and a mango smoothie is a combo that’s tough to beat.

Fuego Del Sol
I really like this place. Very good hotel for this price and very good restaurant. Nice place to stay. Excellent management. Beach is good, but mostly for surfing.

Would definitely return
We went for a friend’s wedding and let me say...we got a great deal compared to where a lot of our friends stayed. Some of our friends didn’t have a pool, some didn’t have a restaurant attached and some didn’t even get housekeeping on a daily basis. We had it all and our backyard was the beach! The staff were all extrememly friendly and accomodating. We had a safe in the room so I didn’t worry about theft. The breakfasts were included in our room price and they were great. The rooms were simple but clean. Hot water and A/C. Can’t wait to go back!
