Good for a Quiet Getaway
Beautiful beach with easy access. Not a 5-star, so don’t expect that. The beachfront rooms were nice. The others looked like a regular motel from the outside. However, the garden/pool/hot tub area was beautiful and there was free high speed internet. It was perfect for us because we just wanted to relax for a few days. Rent a car if you want to go to Destin because the taxi ride from the airport is $35 each way. There is a shuttle run by Okaloosa County that stops right next door at the Gulfarium, but it doesn’t run on the weekends during the offseason. Great restaurants in walking distance- we liked The Black Pearl and Anglin’s on the boardwalk. Fudpuckers was okay- it wasn’t the greatest seafood but all you can eat for $20. Overall, this was a good place for relaxing. Would be good for families and couples, but not where you want to be if you want nightlife or variety.
Dining- try The Black Pearl from 4-6 pm- great entrees for half price; also try Anglin’s- great fried seafood and dessert! Fudpuckers was okay- wasn’t impressed with the flavor, but $20 for all you can eat wasn’t bad. On-site restaurants had limited hours-on only served dinner, one only served breakfast. We skipped the hotel dining options. Transportation- if you want to go to Destin, rent a car. It’s cheaper to reserve online versus taking a taxi to and froom the hotel.

Very nice, I loved the big towels for the pool.
We thought this motel was very nice and would not hesitate to go back. My only suggestion would be that since they were providing "free" bottled water that they provide at least one for each guest that was staying there. The staff was very helpful and quick to respond to whatever we needed. The other thing was the bar near the pool by the beach was never opened during our stay, no one told us that it was only open on the weekend. All in all though our stay was great!
