Convenient Location to Bradenton

We were pleasantly surprised with our cute "bungalow" at Tradewinds. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well furnished. The grounds were clean and nicely landscaped and the location was very convenient to connect to Cortez to get into Bradenton. Unfortunately, when we were there, other guests were very loud, drunk & unruly for 2 of the 3 nights we were there and there were no employees on site observe or control them. Also, beach access was inconvenient.

Great place with tiny problem

This is a great place to stay and we have done so often! This time, when we entered our room there was a strange ammonia smell that never really went away. That was very unusual for this place. Also, the room is showing signs of wear and tear which would require just some small fixes to repair.

Don’t forget to stop at "Mr Bones". Small little die with great bar-b-que. Ribs falling off the bone!

nice, but no water????

We arrived at Tradewinds at 5:00 in the afternoon. Nice location cute accomodations, wonderful having a little kitchenette with kids. I sent the kids down to the pool with my husband since I had an upset stomach and wanted to rest for a bit before going out for dinner. Imagine my surprise when I headed into the bathroom to find there was no water because of a water break on the property! Do you think someone could have mentioned this when we checked in? Would have been nice. Also, when we checked in, we were not notified that the pool towels come from the office which is locked up by 6:00pm. Headed to dinner and returned around 9:30, praying there would be water in our room. I was relieved to find there was. This is a great place in a wonderful location, but a bit more communication to the guests could go a long way.

great stay

I liked the feel of the property, cozy, clean, island atmosphere. Room had everything we needed. Bed was a litte too hard for my taste. Pool was great, clean. Plenty of chairs. Nice dock on the bay. Short walk across the street to the Gulf. Great sunsets. If eating out, go early to avoid the crowds.

Resort was great but needs new or better mattresses on the fold out sofa

We loved it and would love to go back.

This is one of the best places in that area since the swimming pool is close to the water (and not close to the road as you could see at some other places). Our unit had a shaded terrasse with a grill and table. The beach was perfect, with or without kids, with a lot of long chairs (included so no need to pay extra - same with the beach toys for the kids - same with towels). It makes packing much lighter. The place was really clean and we really enjoyed it.

They have a library of DVD and tapes + beach toys available.

Small but Quaint

Our stay at the Tradewinds Resort was a pleasant expierence. The rooms are small, but for two people it works. Great service. Wonderful staff. The beach is right across the street, and restaurants within walking distance. The only downside is the bed is not so comfortable and the floor could have been mopped. Love the porch.....Love the pool area.....Love the pier with a dock on the bay!

Great experience

The units are always clean and well maintained. Th location is close to everything that you need and the environment is relaxing.

Provides great location for beaching

Tradewinds resort is an older, Condo style resort on Bradenton Beach. The facility is somewhat dated with respect to what many travlers may expect today. I enjoy this type of facility as it reminds me of another place in time. The facility is clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated - just older style living. Location wise I found this to be an excellent location for beaching. The gulf beach is across the street with open beach access (miles of beach). A pool overlooks the bay and there is a dock for fishing. Several good restaraunts were also found in the area (within 10 miles). Ammenities Pool and beach, fishing dock, picnic areas with grills, beach toys for the kids, complementary movies to watch on your VCR (in room). Services The office had limited service hours. A problem with the room was reported - the desk made a note but was not very accomodating. There are only vending machines on location. A store was approximately 1 mile north of the facility - I consider this to be a limited service facility. Rooms The rooms were generally comfortable and clean. Housekeeping service during the stay was limited to making the bed (not much cleaning during the week). Bedrooms do not have a TV. There was a problem with plumbing of the shower in my room in that the water could be turned hot or cold but could not be mixed (hot or cold shower). This was a problem and I expected some support to resolve.

The Beachhouse is good but pricey. There was a Mexican Restarant on Rt 64 nearby that was fabulous for the price - check out the Fresh Grouper dish here.

Great Little place

I was not looking forward to going there because it was a small place. But, Once I got and saw it, I was very happy. The customer service was fantastic and people very nice. The room very clean.

Nice place across the street from the beach

This place is great for a family. The only thing that I didn’t like was no tv in the bedroom only in the living room. The beach was great and the staff was friendly. Even has free wireless internet.

Quaint & Cozy

Perfectly located & cottage feel on our favorite... Anna Marie Island. Friendly hosts & prompt clean accomidations. Loved the short walk to the beautiful, quiet beach. Would defintely consider for our next trip to the "Island"... hopefully an ’extended’ stay!!
