Lack of Maintenance damaged our vehicle
The laundry room of the hotel was unfortunately located above our parking space at the hotel. Chemicals leaking in combination with the concrete cause hard mineral stains on our vehicle. Luckily it was only our winshield and a local glass shop had a product to remove most of the damage. Managment was reluctant to reimburse us, and at one point equated it to getting a rock chip on the highway. At another point he said he was worried about setting a precedent by admitting to damage. I would say service in general is great, but our experience with the manager was less than positive. Bentley’s griil at the hotel had great food.
Jackson’s Jewlers is a must for splurging on something nice.

No contest the best place to stay in Salem
Perfect location to stay in Salem ... walking distance to most dowtown sites, parks, the Capital, shopping and eateries... hotel and staff outstanding in everyway ... only slightly more $’s than out of the way Super 8’s etc ... and for only a few dollars more splurge and get a spacious suite. Can’t beat the great convenient and complimentary buffet breakfast!!!

Beautiful hotel, lovely room, great breakfast.
Everything was great, but my only minor complaint is that the bathroom lighting wasn’t bright enough. Would also like a hotel of this caliber to have magnifying mirrors in the bathroom for ease of applying make-up.
