Minimalist airport hotel with non-friendly staff
The Campanile had two things going for it: price and lots of free parking. It is adjacent to Luxembourg airport, several miles from the city. Finding it was tough. The staff was rather abrupt, compared to the staff in so many other hotels in Europe. We got the feeling that they were put upon to actually have to deal with us when we checked out, while they were a bit more friendly with a local who asked many dumb questions. The room was spartan, more reminiscent of military barracks than a hotel. Breakfast was not included. We would not choose this hotel or any in the chain again.

Absolutely Horrible!!!
This hotel was small, cramped and noisy. The walls are paper thin. I am not kidding, we could hear our neighbors speaking in their rooms, not mumbling either, the actual spoken words. To top it off, they allow dogs. There were thirty dogs on the night we spent here, and one would not stop barking all night. A call to the front desk was useless, the employee stated there was nothing she could do about it, as there were thirty dogs staying in the hotel, and there was no way she could know which dog it is barking. (I did hold my phone up, so that she too could enjoy the barking!) She stated she could not provide us with another room, as the hotel was sold out. I inquired if there were hotels nearby that perhaps we could transfer to. She did call and find us a room in another hotel, but proceeded to me that she could not refund my money for this room. I asked to speak with a manager, but she stated there was non available, as she was the only one I could talk with. And again, she stated there was nothing she could do. Sadly, there was never an apology either. So we sat up listening to the dogs all night and the neighbor snore!! The room was clean, however (surprisingly!) the parking lot was full of dog poop and the smell was quite nasty. We were very fatigued after the night at this hotel, and it did ruin the day. This was our only day in Luxembourg, so it was extremely disappointing.
Traveler's tip
I would recommend passing this hotel over, unless you are an owner of a dog and can sleep with constant dog barking or have hearing deficits.
