Campanile Paris XI - Bastille

Great location, air conditioned!

This is a fine hotel, nothing special, good breakfast buffet, however it has two major plusses. - It is a block away from two different Metro lines, and walking distance to Place de la Bastille and the wonderful Marais neighborhood. - It is air conditioned, a rare luxury during Paris summers. I’d return.

Especially comfortable for disabled guests, and at a good price

Our room was quite large and comfortable, and very quiet due to the extra vestibule door. The bathroom was also large and accommodating to disabled guests with handrails and raised toilet seat. The elevators were of good size and the entrance from the street is step free with automatic doors. This was the best hotel we’ve had in Paris, and will certainly come again and stay longer. Although the nearby underground Metro stations are not wheelchair accessible, there are several nearly accessible bus lines that proved to be particularly convenient.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Supermarket across the street is very handy. Close to art galleries and some fine free museums.

Cheap but adequate...with WiFi

It’s a good location for walking (close to the river), and overall the hotel was quite satisfactory (if a little cramped). The staff all spoke English and the hotel had WiFi. I’d recommend it, but base your expectations on how much you’re paying.
