Good value for price paid
This is a 4-star hotel (under the French rating system), but we feel on the low end of the 4-star spectrum. We have stayed here before. The reason to stay is the rate is very attractive -- less than many 4-stars. Room is small but comfortable. We had to ask for additional clothes hangers and a wastebasket (last time also!). Frontdesk staff is not particularly friendly or helpful but we know Paris well, so dont really need anything from them. Hotel itself neither adds nor detracts from the Paris experience, for us.

Great Location
This hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the Louvre, so if youre using the Metro (subway) to get around its really easy to find your way home. The bed was ok, big enough for my wife and I to sleep in comfortably, but not the softest. The towels in the bathroom were very nice, and easily the largest that I have ever seen, almost twice the size of what I use at home. The room temperature controls seemed mostly ornamental, they did not seem to affect the temperature in the room, but luckily we went at a time of year with very pleasant temperatures outside. The hotel claims that the rooms are soundproofed, but that only appears to apply to things going on inside the hotel. The noise coming in from the streets was audible, but not so loud that it should present a problem to anyone except for the lightest sleepers.
