A Big Bear Ripoff
This particular condo was large, but was dingy, with dirty walls, ripped furniture, broken lamps in living room. It didn’t have a big enough water heater for three of us to take warm showers. The view of the lake was beautiful and that’s what you are paying for. I’m sure there are better condos at this complex. Not the nicest place to stay in Big Bear by any stretch.

La Montana,a Mexican Restaurant on Moonridge is some of the best Mexican food we’ve ever eaten. We also love the Log Cabin Restaurant. Good food and great service.

disgusting!!
i don’t know what the previous review is talking about! this hotel/condo was disgusting! we should’ve been aware something was wrong when we pulled up to the hotel office and there was a sign in the window to go to a totally different hotel to register for the room! we ended up staying in room 207 (2bd/2ba condo) and we were terribly disappointed. we paid top dollar for this condo and felt like we were totally ripped off! first of all, the room was dusty and dirty. the wall paper was peeling off the walls and the decor looked like it hadn’t been updated since the 1950’s! one of the two bathrooms was broken. the shower door had been taken off the track and was in the shower stall when we arrived. there were two patio doors and they both did not lock, so we had to sleep with our doors unlocked the whole night. the heater (which is located in a closet upstairs in between the master and kid’s room) was extremely loud and disruptive and kept us up all night. (it was so loud it woke my 5 and 7 year olds up!) this place is disgusting. you are better off saving your money and sleeping in your car! i’ve been to big bear a few times, and by all means, you definitely have to lower your standards in general, but this was just ridiculous and definitely the worst hotel i’ve ever stayed at! stay away!
