Very adequite older facility
We were quite pleased with the room and adjacent resturant. The location in the University area was very convenient.

Great Two Star Hotel! but probably not for women traveling alone
I had my doubts about this hotel because of other reviews, but the price was great so I took a chance -- and loved it. Very friendly staff, and really there was nothing to complain about as long you expect two stars and not five. We weren’t at the hotel to be pampered. We just wanted a clean, safe place to sleep. I wouldn’t want my wife or daughter staying there alone, though. There is a rough neighborhood nearby, and I got the feeling that someone could break into the room easily enough. I felt plenty safe, kept my valuables with me on my walk-about, and had a great stay. And saved a great deal of money.

Only positive was the location
The hotel was old, the door to the "balcony" did not close tightly, and the room had no desk and only 1 chair. The location was convenient to University of Pittsburgh but that was the only good thing about it.
