Cimmarron Lodge - Not What Youre Expecting
In terms of proximity to the lift, this place was great. A few short steps to Chair 7. However the outside of the building is a dump and the inside is nothing special. It was clean, but very small and it was NOT a condo. Our one bedroom unit was a single room with a bathroom attached. The bed was twin twins pushed together. The "kitchen" was a mini fridge and a microwave. If you need a bare bones place to crash, this is fine. If you need a place to prepare and eat meals, go someplace else.
Traveler's tip on dining
Eat at Brown Dog Pizza. Good food, good prices.

Not bad, but have stayed at better
Room was clean, but very small. Parking is kind of far from rooms, but there is a small unloading zone. Walls are very thin and can easily hear voices and noises from other rooms. Telluride fitness center is on property as are some other shops and such. Located on edge of town, so be ready for longish walk or may want to drive. (Saw a black bear short way from hotel as I was walking to town one morning!)
Traveler's tip on dining
Lots of great restaurants in town, but try Baked in Telluride Bakery or Maggies for more local "flavor".

Nice Place
The condo unit was nice and what I expected for this level of accomodations. Was about 100 steps from the lift. However, you need to be able to ski to get to this condo. Not for people just learning to ski.
Traveler's tip on dining
Resturants are limited in the area and are mostly designed for upscale tastes. The night life is mostly for locals and does not start till the resturants close. I think there are more Fur coat stores in Telluride that T-shirt shops.
