Decent budget hotel, if you just need a good breakfest and roof for the night
On Sunday, the reception is closed from 12pm to 2pm, so after spending 20+ our by my commute from San Francisco and arriving there at 1pm, it was quite annoying to have to wait with my luggage for 1 hour. Room was very small (and you would not see such small TV’s in US these days anymore), with small kitchen, but enough for the night, if you are planning on spending most of your time outside. The breakfast was solid, with croissants, rolls, cheese, coffee, juice, but do not expect eggs, bacon or ham.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
If you are a good walker, from the hotel you can walk to Notre Dame de la Garde, to Prado beach. Or you can easily take the metro to get to Vieux Port (the downtown).

Citea Marseille du Prado
The hotel was pretty good overall. There were a few miscommunications upon check in, but they worked pretty hard to straighten out. The hotel is in a great location for doing things. Metro and bus stops right out the front door. Restaurants and coffee shops w/in walking distance. Several grocery stores (most pretty small) w/in walking distance so we could stock up and use the micro kitchen in room. we have two small kids (1 and 3) and this was a good place for them.

it is okay for one night, but nothing to remember
Hotel is located not far from the Metro station (2 stations until downtown), overall convenient location, however the rooms are designed for rather families with small children, a bit worn-out furniture, overall not very impressive
