Don’t expect too much for the price
My hotel room was clean (except for the floor that wasn’t washed with clean water). The bed was new and comfortable. The room was quiet and cool on the back side of the hotel. Sun came round about 4.00pm -- important to know in mid-summer. One elevator was broken: the other made a loud groaning sound that could be heard throughout the hotel, although it was new and all-electronic. Hallway carpets are filthy on every floor. Reception staff has a young woman on the day shift who is very bossy and officious. Lets you know immediately that she is in charge. Other staff were pleasant enough. Great location across the road from the Promenade; bare essentials are there but vastly over-priced by American standards.

Inexpensive place near the beach to stay.
Hotel had a good location as it was a block away from the beach and the promenade. However, it is about a mile away from the old town area with their restaurant row. The room itself was fine but the bathroom had a slight smell of urine. Did not use the kitchen facilities but they seemed okay. The air conditioning system is not turned on during the time of year we were there (April) and opening up the window did not work well because we had too much street noise. Staff was very friendly and spoke great English. Went way above and beyond to help us with directions, flight confirmations, etc.

Decent hotel for price
Room was quite large and very clean. Hotel is a block from the beach, but quite a distance from the main happenings on the Promenade des Anglais. If you don’t mind walking a ways or taking a bus or taxi, this is a good place to stay.
