No one around

The hotel was almost empty, but they still stuck us over in the "lower rent" part of the hotel.

Ok for the price

This hotel is in a great location near the center of the town of Big Bear. The rooms are what you would expect for a discount hotel. I was actually very pleased until I woke up to ants all over eating some food we had bought the night before for breakfast. I told this to them when I checked out and they were not apologetic at all and said they had sprayed the room twice this week!

Fine for the Price

Rooms are a bit dated but clean and the service was good. Overall, it was fine for the price paid. Good location.

No thanks Robinhood

What is the point of going to the snow if you have a view of a parking lot? The doors slam all night long, the bed is ancient and cheap and creeks everytime you breathe. The scratchy sheets on top of the waterproof plastic cover is terrible. Some lights did not work ad the room is seriosuly grim and dark, the shower was a joke with no pressure, and the food at their restaurant was really concerning. gag.

not impressed

Our experince was very good, everything was clean as it sould be. Our room was standar queen, at first we wanted to change room cause i thinK they had way better rooms in the hotel for the double price we paid, but at the end we stay there and we were very confortable, we had what we needed not more not less. We will defently return to Robinhood Resort!!!!

Not worth it

I was not at all pleased with the quality of the room. The regular bed was hard, the hideaway sofa sleeper was horrible, and the bathroom smelled like mold. When we first got to the room, the heat was off, and the room was around 50 degrees. And this was in Big Bear in late November. It took about an hour and a half to get the room to a comfortable temperature. One would think that, with as much as these rooms cost, that they would at least keep them warm for arriving guests.

Bed smelt of urine

Even though the room was designated as a smoke-free room, the moment we stepped in we could smell smoke. It got worse. The bed smelt of urine. All rooms were booked so we could not get a different room. We had to go to a store and buy a can of febreze. We soaked the bed and the floor with febreze to make it bearable after a few hours.

Robinhood to the Rescue

Great hotel for short and last minute stays. Clean hotel and friendly staff. I would stay here again. Bathrooms could use an update, but it was clean and comfortable.

Second Stay And Going Back Soon

Peter at the front desk makes you feel right at home. Very helpful. Watched movies in our room on the DVD player from the large Jacuzzi tub. Rooms are large, clean, and have gas fireplaces. Walking distance, even in the snow, to restaurants, convenience store, and coffee shop. Our favorite place to stay in Big Bear!!

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Snow Summit is a quick drive...about a mile.

Would definitely recommend

Booked a room with a King Bed and spa. The room was extremely clean and well maintained, staff was very pleasant and friendly. Stayed in the new Sherwood Forest rooms. Hotel is very close to some great restaurants. Had a terrific time, would definitely recommend.

Surprizingly nice

We stayed in the new building, aka Sherwood Forest (cute, eh?). The room was spacious, clean, new furnishings, nice touches (gas fireplace, whirlpool tub). Staff was friendly. Best experience of 5 that we have had in Big Bear.

They have play pens available for your room to keep toddlers in check.
