Good Location, Pleasant Stay

Hotel is situated a few blocks from the Night Bazaar. Hotel offers a very nice breakfast buffet. The staff was friendly, polite and efficient. Front desk staff was fluent in English and very courteous. I thought the hotel decor was dated but my Thai friend, who is a designer, told me that it was Chiang Mai style and he liked it.

over charged

Nice room if you get the suite. The hotel is old. When I checked out they overcharged me 1000 baht for 8 local calls. $35 US Dollars. I raised holy heck and after 1/2 hour of holy heck they reduced it by half. Restaurants were average and way too expensive. Never again. Many other great hotels in Chiang Mai.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

An average accommodation

This hotel’s location, swimming pools and wonderful breakfast are the main attractions. It is an older facility, whose age shows especially in the fitness room, which I would rate as quite poor. The staff were very friendly, the hotel was clean, but I would rate is as no more than average. If I return to Chiang Mai, I would look for a hotel that was smaller and newer.

Great location and value

This hotel made our first trip to Thailand most enjoyable. While our room showed the hotel’s age just a bit, the service more than compensated. Everything was clean and well presented. Every request was met promptly with a smile. The breakfast buffet was ample and an ideal way to start a day’s adventuring. There is a wide range of services available including a nice family pool and great spa. We did no pre-arranging of activities prior to arrival and the on-site tour agents tailored our four days in Chiang Mia perfectly at the right price. We will stay here on our next trip and recommend it to anyone.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Use a yellow and blue airport taxi to get to and from the hotel instead of the hotel airport shuttle. It’s cheaper and you are not tied to any schedule. The taxi stand ensures you pay the right and fair price. Use the red taxi trucks for longer distances and tuk-tuks for short hops to specific destinations as much as possible.
