Perfect for a family

This was not an extreme luxury stay, but great for a family with children - children stay free. We booked this motel for our kids and grandkids when we ran out of room. The indoor pool was really nice for all and the location was good. It was close to the freeway exits without freeway noise which was nice due to them needing to travel to both ends of the Medford area. It was also very close to the mall for shopping. The continental breakfast was very much grab and eat type of things, but there was a fridge and micro in the room so we could stock it with additional healthy snacks from the large market next door.

Good Deal

This hotel is a good deal for the price. The evening clerk was really helpful recommending a place to eat in town. Check out 4 Daughters Pub. Also appreciated the filtered air as there was a fire in the hills when we arrived. Recommend this hotel as a alternative when going to the Ashland theatres.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

4 Daughters Pub has great atmosphere and really good pub food. The bread pudding could serve 4 and was moist and yummy.

Nothing fancy, but not bad

Wouldn’t want to stay here for more than a night or two, but overall quick, convenient, with a friendly staff. Advertises a big breakfast, but get there early or you’ll be stuck with standard continental fare.

On the Spot Customer Service

When it was discovered that our room was at the back of the hotel, and we had luggage and bicycles to transport, the staff quickly offered to change for us. The next morning the shuttle provided us transportation, even though it wasn’t on their "regular" route.

Overnighter

We stopped here over night on our way to Disneyland. The hotel was clean, quiet, comfortable and clean. We were sorry that the in house restaurant was closed, but there were plenty of alternatives in the neighborhood including fast food, sit downs and grocery stores. Access was easy to the freeway. The indoor pool was quite large, although the temp was a little too warm. Best part of the stay was the free breakfast. Not only was there a good selection of pastries, fruit, and cold cereals, they also had hot sausages, boiled eggs and do it yourself waffles along with a good assortment of beverages. We didn’t eat again until we got to our next hotel.

Quick Stay

Just passing through and needed a place to stay overnight. The hotel was easy to locate and was an older property. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. There were nearby grocery, gas, food, and mall facilities. The hotel was ok for the family and we would recommend the hotel to others.

Okay place to stay

Nothing special about the hotel but the rooms were clean and the service was good. The breakfast was about average for a hotel in this price range. Kids liked the pool.

smelly room uncaring staff

the pillows were nice and the beds seemed new but other than that this place is a dump the restaurant and bar have been closed down for a while it is located in the parking lot of a discount grocery store there was a leaking pipe in the hallway ceiling and a strange odor in the whole place. If I hadn’t already paid for the few days we were in town I would have spent the couple extra bucks and gotten a room elsewhere. Money saved was not worth it.

I’d stay again

There was no toilet paper holder in the bathroom. The ceiling leaked in the hall. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was not impressive, so we went out, but the price was right, the location was good for our plans, and I would stay again.

Just so so

This seems to be the hotel where truckers stay overnight before heading back out. The room was adequate and clean. The bed was comfortable. But the whole place was VERY outdated. We were okay with it due to the low price we paid for the room and the short time we were there.

No Frills Hotel but Great Value

Just off I-5, the hotel is fairly easy to find and access. Hotel exterior and interior halls had us worried, as the building is fairly old, but the rooms were a pleasant surprise...clean and comfortable w/ bathrooms that looked to have been recently remodeled. The complimentary breakfast was very nice with a good sampling of hot and cold breakfast items. Overall, despite the older building, and considering you get a comfortable, clean room w/ a nice continental breakfast included...I think our stay was a great value. $75 a night for myself and my family of 5, including breakfast? You can’t beat it!!

Clean rooms, great breakfast with pancakes, cereal & hot links

We stayed here during our trip to CA. The rooms were renovated & repainted. They were clean & cozy with good bedding & pillows. The breakfast the next morning was absolutely great. They have a wide spread of pancake machines, bread, muffins, boiled eggs, hotlinks, fruits, 5 cereal selection. Great for kids. Highly recommend for someone on a short stop with kids. AP

Dont expect fancy drapery & decor - but expect what you would in a nice motel offering a great room & continental breakfast

A great place for the right price

service was great. Crew very helpful and they offered a free breakfast. Several items available for the breakfast. The pool was heated and it felt great to be able to go swimming when the outside temperature is about 30 degrees. I would definetely recommend this hotel because it isone of the best.

a pleasant surprise

When I drove up to the Ramada, it looked a little worrisome. From the outside, not impressive. But the staff was friendly and helpful and the recently-remodeled room was a welcome surprise. Clean and comfortable - everything, including carpet, seemed new. Completely new bathrooms with plenty of water from a good showerhead. Comfortable beds, a view of a landscaped inner area that’s really too large to be called a courtyard. And despite the freeway proximity, nice and quiet. The only small fault was the heater - an older model that was not quiet (but it was unusually cold during my stay so it had to run on high). I took advantage of the "park and fly" option, leaving my car parked at the Ramada for a week while I was away (at no extra cost). They run their own shuttle to the airport, very punctually. And they offer this service even if you’re only staying the night before you fly out (other facilities require that you stay the night before and again overnight upon your return, to qualify for park and fly). Upon return, I called them for the shuttle and they came within minutes. Lastly, and most fortunately for me, they have you park your car right in front of the motel entrance while you’re gone. My hybrid’s battery failed while I gone, which disabled the door locks (the car was unlocked for some period of time!). It was undisturbed, and I credit the Ramada for their wise policy that allows close surveillance of the cars.

still remodeling!

Bathrooms were small, hallway still smelled. Even with all the remodeling, it looks and feels like an older motel. Staff was friendly and helpful. No outside locks so anyone can come into the hotel at any time.

Not happy

I have stayed in this hotel several times and the service and maintenance of this hotel is going downhill. The restaurant and bar were closed for remodeling and the hallways were half finished. The breakfast used to be good and offered several items for consumption. Now they only offer waffles and sausage for hot food and cold cereal. The hotel advertises an indoor pool, however, it is not heated and you cannot swim in it unless you like ice cold water. I travel to Medford alot because of family, I will never stay at this hotel again.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

One of the local attractions is the Oregon House of Mystery just north of Medford in Gold Hill. It is well worth the visit. However it is closed from November thru February.

Clean but beneath expectations

I expected RAMADA to be a pretty safe choice aS far as being a place that is a fairly middle of the road facility. I found this place to be hard to access, a pretty old building and not very comfortable. It was clean but the soaps and in-room coffee was as cheap as they come. The beds were not comfortable and the truck stop next door was pretty noisy. I will say the breakfast exceeded expectations and we were happy with that. I wouldn’t stay here again unless in a pinch.

Dirty and Hotel Manager is the Rudest Lady I have ever met.

The hotel is dirty. We actually had to take old food out of our fridge from the poeple who stayed in the room before us. The manager is a liar and rude. BUT the continental breakfast is amazing.

Fine for a one night stay

We wanted a cheap, decent place to stay before we caught our plane early in the morning. This hotel filled that need. I wouldn’t want to stay for an extended visit but it was fine for a short stay. Even though the hotel has had remodeling done when we walked down the hallway there was a weird, musty smell to it. Our room was clean and had been remodeled. Even though the bathroom looked nice the toilet seat moved when you sat on it and the bathtub wouldn’t hold water so my kids had to take showers. The staff was nice and friendly and overall it was fine.

overall a nice place to stay

The room was very nice with a comfortable bed. The bad points would be that the pillows were too plump and the bathroom was very small. We picked this hotel because it is supposed to include a hot breakfast but the dining room was shut down for some reason but they did provide a very nice continental breakfast. Don’t be late though because at 9:30 am sharp they start putting it all away.

Old, but in relatively nice condition

We were a little disappointed to arrive late and discover that the restaurant was closed (for 30 to 60 days). We were counting on eating there after our long drive. Otherwise, the service was very nice and the rooms were acceptible.

Very nice.

Extremely impressed with the remodeled section of the hotel. Great nice and warm breakfast. The pool was very nice and clean. The reception service could be much better. We booked two rooms and didn’t give next to each other and the had to reset the keys everyday during our 3 days stay. The reception staff being new was slower in handling. Apart from this one time and daily key reset, it was fabulous for the price.
