Great value
For our recent stay in Newport, we were looking for a very inexpensive place. This was one of the cheapest we could find that didn’t have terrible reviews. We were very pleasantly suprised by the top-notch service and the clean and comfortable room. For the price we paid, this hotel value cannot be beat.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE...
I ARRIVED TO WHAT I BELIEVE WAS A NEAT HOTEL,BUT WAS IN FACT A DIRTY MOTEL.REALLY.MY WIFE COULD NOT BELIVE IT.FIRST,I GOT THERE JULY 20TH 2009 THRU JULY 24TH.THE MOTEL WAS FILTY,I FOUND A CHUNCK OF PIZZA BEHIND THE NIGHT STAND TABLE.THE AREA RUG WAS OUT DATED(OLD).THERE WAS A MUGGY AIR AND THE ONLY WAY NOT TO DEAL WITH IT WAS TO OPEN THE BALCONY DOOR OR TURN ON THE AIR COND.NOW,THE WORST:SMALL FREEZER WAS NASTY.DIRTY AND SMELLY.MICROWAVE WAS FILTY AS WELL.IT WAS BROWN(STAINS)INSTEAD OF WITE.THE FURNITURE WAS OUT DATED (FABRIC).THERE WAS A SIZEABLE STAIN UNDER THE FABRIC CHAIR.FLOOR WERE NOT PROPERLY VACUUMED.TOILET WAS AWFULL.A FLY INSECT CAME OUT OUT IT.I PAID IN ADVANCED (10 MONTH BEFORE),SO IT WAS NOT EASY TO CANCELLED,SO WHAT I DID WAS,I PURCHASE A CAN OF LYSOL DESINFECTAND,AND SPRAYED EVERYWHERE I COULD.AT NIGHT TIME,YOU HEAR AWFULL NOICES COMING FROM THE POND BEHIND THE MOTEL,FROGS AND WHO KNOWS WHATS INSIDE THE POND(SCARY).IT WAS A NIGHTMARE.MY WIFE AND I FOUND PEACE ONLY DURING THE DAY GOING AROUND NEWPORT AND THEM BACK TO A NIGHTMARE AT NIGHTS.I FORGOT TO MENTION.THE CABINETS DRAWERS WERE DUSTY AND DIRTY.I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO ECONOLODGE...OR ECONONIGHTMARE.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
BRING SANITARY GLOVES,LYSOL AND OTHERS CLEANING STUFF IF YOU PLAN TO IGNORE ADVISES.I WILL PAY TOP DOLLAR NEXT TIME AROUND RATHER THAN SAVE A FEW BUCKS AND SUFFER LIKE WE DID AT THAT MOTEL.

Should have splurged for a more expensive place
I was travelling New England on a limited budget, but if I had known about this place I would have paid some extra bucks for a better place. The furnishings were outdated, the room was muggy, and had sort of a stickiness to it. Not exactly the cleanest of places. The only good thing was the front desk lady. She gave excellent customer service, and when there were noisy neighbors above me, she switched me to an upgraded room with jacuzzi.
