Excellent choice..
Great hotel...Right around the corner from Gran Via but on a side street, so not noisy..Very comfortable rooms, and great service. Fantastic hotel..Nothing to complain about.

Great Location BUT
I have stayed at thia hotel two years ago. It was Excellent. This trip after two days of asking if the AC would be fixed I was told the hotel shuts it off Sept.1, we arrived on the 16th. With a room facing the elevator shaft even with the window open all night no air moved. there were two major events going on in Madrid: Spain Grand Prix and White Night. They knew little information on White night and knew nothing of the Grand Prix. They also gave us incorrect opening/closing times for the Prado. The toilet broke in my room on Sunday sfternoon. I was told it could not be fixed till the next day, go to the lobby and use the public restrooms. There was also black mold around the bathtub. A poor value and no longer a 4 star hotel. The breakfast was good!!

Rooms are so small, they look like shoe box
The hotel is very nicely decorated, the problem is that the rooms facing the street, wich are really nice are not insonorized and it is imposible to sleep, the other rooms are very quite but also very, very small(I was travelling alone ,but a paid for a double room, because I do not like to sleep in a tiny place ,but they told me that all the rooms are the same size(except the ones facing the street) There is not a coffee machine in the room and the front desk staff, especially a guy named Gonzalo, are not very polite,he is very rude, and he makes a guest fell very unconfortable,he mades you feel as if you are bothering him all the time.
