budget friendly, but beware the paper thin walls.

The Good: Overall we enjoyed our stay. There is a nice continental breakfast (with waffles) and the staff was very accommodating when I asked for non-feather pillows (I’m allergic). The Bad: paper thin walls. We could almost make out our neighbors entire conversation, and I don’t think they weren’t talking loud at all. Even if they were -- wine country (read: lots of happy lubricated people) is probably not the best place to cheap out on room insulation.

Excellent Napa getaway

The hotel was convenient for exploring both Sonoma and Napa Valleys and we found the service excellent. Friendly and helpful personnel.

Great Hotel, would definately stay there again!

Our hotel room was very clean and nice. Plenty of towels and wash cloths. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The lady who worked in the dining room during breakfast greeted everyone with a smile and a "hello". She was eager to help you. I, with a doubt would stay there again.

great value

this hotel is located about 15 minutes from Napa and the staff is extremely cordial. our room was spacious and clean and had some of the best hotel pillows we’ve ever had! the area itself is not the greatest but it is close to a walmart and sonic drive in and close to the wine country at about half the price of staying in napa proper. they have lots of wine tasting coupons to give you when you check in.

Oakville Grocery is a perfect stop on the way to wineries for espresso/pastries/sandwiches/picnic food. Taylors Automatic Refresher in St Helena or Napa is awesome for lunch. Rutherford Grill is great for dinner, not too pricey, seems to be a local hangout.

Great spot for wine touring in Napa Valley

We were very impressed with all aspects of this hotel--from friendly, propmpt service at front desk to comfortable, quiet room (we had asked ahead of time for a corner room and got one). Were also given good recommendations for dinner reservations nearby. Can’t wait to go back.

Very Comfortable

My family and I stayed there for 2 nights. The room was very clean and spacious. I have a 3 month old so the sink and microwave came in very handy to wash and warm up bottles. The hotel was located close to shopping centers. I can’t wait to go back.

Good location and good service

We really enjoyed our stay at Fairfield. It was a good location and short distance to either Napa or Sonoma. The room was clean and nice with a sitting area with the sleeper sofa. My children (6 and 9 yrs. old) like the outdoor pool (eventhough the weather was a little cold to swim outside) and the continental breakfast.

We especially appreciated your staff’s recommendation regarding discounts for Kaiser Permantee’s patients in nearby Vallejo. I think it would be wise for your management to contact Kaiser’s admissions or their administrator about your Kaiser’s discount program, as it was quite beneficial to us!

Wonderful deal

Spotless place, quiet in spite of being full, very large rooms, generous free breakfast, clean outdoor pool. A few miles out of town, but well worth it.

Perfect for low budget Napa trip

My only complain about the hotel would be the thin walls. My first room was right above the banquet room downstairs and on Sunday mornings they have some kind of church service there that plays loud drum-like instruments (I didn’t actually see what was going on in there). I called the front desk and they immediately gave me another room, no hassle whatsoever. Everyone at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Both the rooms I stayed in had a microwave, refrigerator, and sink area with a seating area that resembled a small dining/living room; which was nice for late night snacking after a long day of wine tasting. The location was great, very close drive to downtown Napa and wineries. Would definitely stay there again!

Great value

Although a bit removed from the Napa wineries, this hotel is a great value and good way to save your money for wine buying. It was clean, room was large and bed was very comfortable.

Nice hotel

Nice hotel, staff friendly and helpful since I am not familiar with the area. Bed was not very comfortable, too soft. Otherwise a good hotel for the price.

Good Value

It’s not the Ritz, but I give it high marks for its value and proximity to downtown Napa. Refrigerator and microwave worked well and the added space of the suite added to the value. Rooms and overall hotel were clean; exercise room is good, pool area was small, but adequate, and breakfast was a plus.

Traveler's tip on shopping

A large mall (with Wal-Mart) is 1/4 mile north on the same side of the highway. A large supermarket is 1/4 mile south, opposite side of highway.

We would recommend this hotel

Hotel is new and very clean. The make-your-own waffles are a nice touch at the continental breakfast - our son enjoyed it very much. The pool and jacuzzi were nice too, although they overlooks the parking lot. Ask for a room in the rear of the hotel - rooms in front overlook the parking lot and a busy highway and could be noisy. Our room was very quiet and spacious. Would have been nice if they had pay-per-view movies, but other than that, it was a great value for the money. We would stay there again.

This was a gem of a hotel. I have stayed in four and five star hotels and resorts and this was the best service that I have ever had. Very friendly, clean, professional and attentive. We loved it.! A great value.

Clean hotel, friendly staff

This hotel was very clean, and the staff, very nice. The addition of eggs, potatoes and sausage along with the usual continental breakfast was very appreciated. The location was easily accessible to the great mall of the bay area and Raging waters, as well as restaurants and grocery stores. It was nice not to spend a lot of extra time in the car.
