Just Average

We secured this hotelvia Expedia and expected the hotel to be clean for the most part. When we arrived, we asked to look at a room before making a decision. We were shown a very nice room that was supposedly booked by someone else. Because of the looks of that room, we decided to stay. Once we got to the room, the room was dirty and looked as if it had not been used in a while. There was dust everywhere and cigarette burns on several of the furniture items. This is now a NON-SMOKING room but you could tell that the room had been smoking in the nat-to-far past. The room smelt of smoke and we felt like we needed to clean before going to bed. It was below average or at least our cleanliness expectations.

Very impressed for the price

Very friendly staff,clean room and a very comfortable bed.This is an excellent place to stay if you want spending money for Savannah,because you will need it there!! We will stay there again if ever in Savannah.

Great Money Saver

Very comfortable clean rooms. Great service. Located right off I95 so easy drive into Historic Savannah. Make your own waffles were great for breakfast. Overall, best place to stay if your on a small budget.

Oglethorpe Tours is a great way to see Historic Savannah, not only do you get a narrated tour you also have hop on/off privileges for the rest of the day.

A piece of heaven in Savannah!

The sister Inn to the Savannah, The Mulberry Inn, Is just a block away from the Savannah Inn. Staying at both Inns, I must say that not only is the service outstanding, but the rooms were spotless! We will return.

This hotel is basic, but decent for the price paid

Nice stop-over

This hotel had friendly staff, offered an early check-in, and was very close to I95. Other than the AC not working in our first room (they immediately moved us), it was a nice stay.

This hotel is about 10 minutes from Savanna. If you stay in Savanna, expect to pay 3x or more.

This was a spontaneous trip and on Mother’s day w/end! It was unbeatable for the price and the quality. However, we only stayed the night and for those planning a w/end or longer... there is no pool and it’s a thirty minute drive to the beach. It was perfect for my families intentions and we were pleased.

I would recommend this motel!

This is a nice motel! Very friendly office lady! Room very comfortable.Had a slight odor when you first entered.It was quiet so we had uninterrupted sleep.The bed was quite comfortable.Light over bathroom sink was slow to light, but did finally come on.The continental breakfast was light, make your own waffles was the best part of it.We would stay there again, for sure.

A motel

Low cost, easy access to major roads, clean. Just know it is a motel, doors open to a common walkway access, therefore not my choice for safety reasons.

Island Restaurant located walking distance. Casual atmosphere with a good menu. Also, a grocery store and drug store within walking distance of hotel.

Comfortable Bed

Enjoyed our stay very much. Continental breakfast was a little slack, but acceptable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Best bed we’ve ever slept in at a motel. Conveniently located to I-95.

Surprise

This Hotel is a surprising place to stay. It is only rated 2 star but I was pleasantly surprised to find that for the price I was very comfortable and the staff was prompt and inviting. We had some trouble booking a room through Expedia.com (we had to book a room for one night then get a different one for the other three) but when we got there they straightened it out for no extra cost! The rooms were clean and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. They have been remodeling so there is some minor work still being completed. My girlfriend found a wallboard screw on her bed. It looked like it had fallen out of the maintenance mans belt when he had changed out a light fixture. No harm done. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel to someone on a budget who is looking for a clean comfortable room and a friendly staff.

They don’t have a swimming pool at this Hotel but call around to the hotels that are around it. They may let you swim in their pool (southern hospitality). We called and the one right next door let us use their pool for an hour!

A good place for the price

not bad for a place to stay if you are looking for a hotel under 50 bucks. room a little bit smaller but good enough for just sleep at night. convenient location.

Very well kept hotel

We were very pleased at the quality of the room. The night before we spent the night in a Super 8 horrible/dirty hotel and we were worried about staying in a small hotel chain. The young lady who checked us in was very helpful and the room was REALLY clean.

The Crab shack in Tybee Island- It’s nicer and bigger than you would think, worth the drive and a great value for your money.

nice basic hotel

Nice basic hotel. Liked the fact that they had 2 queen size beds and a mini frig that we could put drinks and stuff in. Also had a microwave. Good for if you just need somewhere to sleep. Staff was very nice.

Not bad, But.....

While the staff and service were very good, and the room was very clean and spacious, Im afraid I must complain about the "breakfast". The fresh fruit and coffee were a good start, but we were disapointed that no hot tea or cold juice were available. Also disapointing was the breakfast fare consisting of ’Eggo’ type frozen waffels and individually wrapped grocery store pastery. I would probably stay here again but I’ll remember to bring my own juice.

This was a great place to stay for a very good rate. The staff was knowledgable and curtious and the rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel is set back about a block from the road so traffic noise was not an issue. This hotel has no attached resturant and dining choices in the area are slim. Easy exit/entrance to I-95. Good place to stop for the night.

Very good for the price...close to savannah, tybee island and hilton head island. Staff was very friendly and room was clean.

Great for a short stay

This hotel was clean and comfortable. It is a little bit away from everything, but would be nice for a short stay.

Watch out for extra fees

I’ve stayed in at least 400 hotels in my lifetime and this one was the only in which i really left with a terrible impression. we were charged a ridiculous amount for checking out slightly late and the hotel manager was rude and apathetic to my check-in/check-out situation. pick another hotel.

Great value

This is a basic hotel, but perfect for my needs. It was a short drive to Savannah’s waterfront, and conveniently located just off I-95, so that jaunts southward to St. Simon’s and St. Marys were easy. My room was clean, with refrigerator and microwave, and maid service was good.

4 Star hotel for 1 Star Price

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a very helpful desk clerk. The room was clean and very spacious. The hotel was in a very nice part of town. I would not pay a holiday inn price when this hotel is available.

Do not waste your time and money eating at the pirate’s house in downtown savannah. They provided me the worst dining experience of my life. Poor service and VERY BAD food.
