Great location but no services
Residence St Sulpice is in a great location and the rooms are clean. It is great to have a refrigerator stovetop and microwave. I found it very inconvenient because there is no reception area. We were met inside the front door (dark hallway) by the very nice person who cleaned our room and given a key to our room and some brief directions in French on how to get in and out of the building. That was the extent of our contact with any staff. We had a couple of unpleasant experiences with noise from other residents but we had no problems with street noise. Our bed was comfortable and we slept well.

Residence Saint Sulpice
Small but economical, clean, and secure. The location is terrific. Luxembourg Gardens is close, the Museum of Eugene Delacroix, St. Germaine Church, and Saint Sulpice are only blocks away. Even the Louvre, Ile de Cite, and other sites are well within walking distance. The Sulpice and St. Germaine Metro stations are close too. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
If you stay at the Residence Saint Sulpice make sure to call ahead! There is no front desk. When you are met you are provided with a room key and an electronic front door pass. If you just show up you could be standing on the sidewalk with your bags. Also, don’t bother with a rental car in Paris. Parking is a nightmare. The Metro is fast but the with the bus you can see more.

Great on a budget
They offer no frills stay in great location. The hotel is small, no front desk or the the pampering of a hotel, but we had a great, clean room with a small kitchen (a cooktop, small fridge, microwave oven and basic kitchenware). Would definitely return and recommend, it is the place to stay if you are on a budget, have an idea of what you want to do and want to be in a central location, close to the subway.
