Convenient Local to TGV and Subway
My friends and I used this hotel on our graduation trip. When I first booked it, I didnt know that it was in the business district outside the city. However, it turned out to be a perfect location for us! The hotel was within 10 minutes walking distance to the TGV station (where you can take trains to any other part of France or even out of the country) and also the subway station to go into the main part of the city. The hotel staff was helpful with our many questions and we had no problems with the room at all. We booked our hotel and flight together, so the rate was pretty good...Im not sure how it would be otherwise, but overall, I would recommend this hotel as a less expensive but still good alternative to staying right in the main part of the city.

It was ok....
This hotel could have a lot going for it IF: It werent so close to the ever running trains. If it werent so far removed from dining, shopping, attractions. If eating at the hotel wasnt so expensive. If AC wasnt such a rare commodity. It had space and kitchenette potential but in general, it was dull, no charm, no appeal, and not worthy of its sometimes four star rating.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
There is advertised a pool and spa for this place. It was an oversized room with a square area of water that may have been nice for koa fish.

Nice room, friendly and competent service
The room was good-sized and functional, with child bed and crib set up upon our arrival as we had requested. Service at the front desk was friendly, helpful, and competent. We arrived around 11:30pm, when room service was no longer available, so the front desk ordered a pizza delivered for us. The hotel is easily accessed by car, and the location is convenient to central Lyon and to the metro (although the street on which the hotel is located is not particularly scenic). Overall, this hotel is a pleasant, functional place to stay, with good accommodations for kids.
