Convenient and Nice

The hotel is located at a very convenient location of downtown Vancouver. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. I would definetly stay there again when the rate is good.

Good Times

The hotel & room were clean. Room was a bit small and faced a wall (made me a little claustraphobic), but was otherwise nice. Staff was great. Location was good, for the most part.

very good location

The location is very convenient, close to Gastown and China Town. Don’t have too much expectation on the room and the facilities, though. The room is small and the breakfast is simple. Still OK to stay if you have limited budget to select a downtown hotel.

Great Experience

The people were very nice, service was excellent, and the hotel was clean and in a nice location. The only small gripe I had was that the rooms was very small, and there was very little natural light (windows were facing the back). Otherwise - great.

Excellent stay ar Ramada, downtown Vancouver

This is the most convenient hotel to stay in if you are going for visa stamping to the US consulate in Vancouver. Convenient location, nice cozy room, fast internet and excellent breakfast.

Very good for the price

Has a very nice breakfast included. The negative side is that it doesn’t a parking in the hotel, so you have to pay extra to park just across the street.

Convenient to Gastown and Downtown Vancouver BC

The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. Parking is not very convenient, as there is no parking even for check-in/registration. We needed to find metered street parking just to check in. There is valet parking most hours of the day. Rooms were very small, with just one chair/desk and the bed takes up almost all of the room. But the location is hard to beat, the bed was comfy, and the cost was very reasonable for such a central location.

Excellent hotel

It was my first time visiting Vancouver and decided to stay at Ramada Limited because of the proximity to downtown and other touristic areas (few blocks to Gastown, Granville St., Downtown and Harbor)I was not disappointed w/ my choice. Clean, very comfortable beds and pillows even though the rooms are small. The staff has very helpful and help me in several occasions w/ directions and requesting a taxi. I highly recommend this hotel.

Good hotel

I’m very satisfied. Excelent location to visit many attractions in Vancouver and easy access to Amtrak station, where I took the train to Seattle.

Ramada Limited

The Ramada Limited was a great hotel. The staff were very helpful, and the room while small was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our only complaint was the continental breakfast (there wasn’t much of a choice), and the small eating area. Also, there is no parking, and valet service cost $25 a day.

Would recommend

This is an older hotel, not located in the prime area of Vancouver. However, I highly recommend it as a place to stay. The hotel is very well maintained and clean! The staff was attentive, helpful and nice. You are close enough to the prime tourist and business locations, to make this a good choice for lodging. We saved close to $100 per night by staying here versus other hotels a few blocks away.

Great location, excellent price

The staff of the hotel was wonderfully helpful and it is accurately styled "European Boutique." We were very pleased and would go back. A couple of things to note. Valet parking is an additional $25 per day, and there really isn’t any other choice. The breakfast the first day was rather thin (no fruit and limited choices), but noticed the second day it was better. The room it is served in is in the basement and rather claustrophobic with no windows and quite small, but certainly clean. The toilet in our room ran continually unless you took the cover off the tank and adjusted the valve by hand. We asked about this and were told it would be fixed immediately, but it wasn’t. Our room had a jetted tub, so we told our son to look at his tub and he could have a bath, but his wasn’t jetted. That is consistent with a European Boutique, that the rooms are not identical. Also we arrived on a Sunday and that night the club next door made our room very loud into the wee hours, but on Monday night, all was quiet. We didn’t notice until Monday morning that the window was open, (not generally possible in US hotels) so that probably made the noise louder. Our son’s room window opened onto an air shaft and had occluded glass, so was quite dark. But the beds were blissfully comfortable, the WIFI worked without problem and overall it was a great spot. We were able to walk to everywhere in Vancouver from there.

Great pre-cruise week-end

We spent 2 nights at the Ramada Limited in downtown Vancouver, BC this summer. The hotel was spotless and charming. Every employee we had contact with was friendly, courteous and helpful. The location was within walking distance to restaurants and the ’Gaslight’ district. We had a great time.

Traveler's tip on dining

The bar/restaurant right next door was friendly with great food.

much more than expected

To be honest, since this hotel is located at the center of downtown close to the gas town, I supposed that the hotel would be somewhat small, not so clean and poor shower. But I was surprised at finding the hotel quite comfortable and the front stuff so kind. For business man, it is nice loation in terms of businesss and after business.

Room was tiny!!!!!

Room was so small they could not fit the queen size bed that we requested and paid for. Room had a murphy bed instead. Staff was extremely nice, but the hotel was not what we paid for!!!

A nice, clean and convenient hotel

The staff were very pleasant, informative and knowledgeable. The rooms, although small, were very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the convenience of the location of the hotel and were able to walk to most of the historic downtown, Yaletown and Gas Town. Inexpensive bus service to Stanley Park is also a very easy walk from the hotel.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

The hotel exchanges limited amounts of money for Canadian, but offers only even exchange. During our visit the hotel made 8% for our exchange $100 US for $100 Canadian - really only +/- $93 US). The minimal exchange fee charged by one bank ($2 US in our case) is the way to go. The bank we used was affiliated with a US bank and, had we used that US bank, we would not have had to pay any fee for the exchange.

Inexpensive and convenient

This hotel was perfectly nice for the price we paid. It was conveniently located in central Vancouver and the desk staff were very helpful with directions and recommendations. The breakfast buffet was a little underwhelming but it was a fast and free way to grab a quick bite.

Accommodating

Hotel was very accommodating for our one night stay in Vancouver. A good stay for one night if getting there a day before cruise. Employees were very polite and very helpful.

Convenient and Comfortable

This hotel was well located in downtown Vancouver, near the waterfront and Gastown. The room was small but comfortable and clean and air conditioned, which turned out to be very important!
