Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville

Very impressed and I would use the hotel again.

Although the view from many of the hotel rooms is not "picturesque" by any means, the comfort and quality of the rooms more than makes up for this. In addition, the staff are very friendly, professional and helpful. Lastly, the location of the hotel is ideal for visiting Toronto because it is situated on two subway lines and it is right beside Yorkville and Yonge St.

Good location, nice hotel, annoying construction going on

The Marriott Bloor Yorkville had very friendly staff. The room was nice and comfortable. The only real complaints I had was that there was construction going on and during daytime hours the noise was pretty bad. If you’re tired and plan to take a quick nap in the afternoon, forget it. Also I happened to visit during pride week and there were some especially loud "frisky" neighbors that I could hear through the wall. More amusing than anything, but if my young son had been with me I might have been ticked off. Other than that it is well located. Right above the subway and only 3 stops from the mall. The concierge is more than happy to provide you with forgotten items such as toothpaste.

Mixed Review

While the room was very comfortable, the distance from the elevator was something that annoyed us. After a late night, that trek down the hall got to be a bit much after a couple of days. Also, when we called housekeeping for certain things, we never received them until a second call. The noise from construction outside in the early hours was also an issue. Also, Housekeeping knocked on our day at 8 a.m. some mornings, way too early. So don’t forget your do not disturb signs.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Go to the CN Tower, great views of the city and water. Also, if you like Vintage/Thrift stores, check out Kensington Market. Plenty of stores to visit so wear comfortable shoes. Chinatown also has great shopping deals.

Not quite a full-service Marriott

Due to the hotel being a Marriott and its location near Yorkville, I had imagined that the hotel would be of a higher standard than it was. The service was great - very friendly staff, but the facilities were a bit dated, there’s lots of construction going on in the parking lot and on the street (which is beyond their control admittedly), but I was surprised that they didn’t have in-house valet services for laundry, and had pretty basic catering. From its location and rack-rate prices, I would have expected much, much more from a Marriott. Overall the stay was pleasant, the room and bed comfortable and staff more than pleasant and accomodating (they took the laundry out for us), but the facilities and service offering should probably be reviewed.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION - WIRELESS NOT FREE

Hotel was under MAJOR remodeling, LOUD HAMMERING woke us EVERY MORNING AT 0730. Management didn’t seem to care. WIRELESS IS NOT FREE IN-ROOM, so if you have a laptop you have to carry it down to the main lobby by the check-in desk to pick up their free signal - VERY INCONVENIENT. GREAT LOCATION THOUGH. It’s on a major shopping road and RIGHT ABOVE THE SUBWAY. As a matter of fact you can access the subway without even stepping outside, just go to the basement :) Located on the upper east side of Toronto makes it very convenient for ANYTHING you want to do or go see. Overall the location is what kept us there for the entire trip instead of checking out and heading somewhere else. As long as you don’t care about customer service or wireless internet, it’s good. Also, very nice room.

PERFECT location for just about anything. Walking distance from everything, all modes of transportation are extremely convenient.

Good Hotel

Very Good Hotel. The staff was very friendly and it was close to the major shops in bloor avenue.

Mixed Feelings

An older Marriott property. Nice rooms but a long walk from elevators. Bar and restaurant are fairly small. Lot’s of construction outside. Overall good but not great. An elevator test that put them out of commission for fifteen minutes in the middle of the day didn’t help. Centrally located in Yorkville with lots of good shopping, restaurants and clubs. Staff was helpful. No ESPN.

Marriott Bloor Yorkville Toronto - Good location, nice hotel

The hotel is located at a very good area, there many shops and restaurants around and it very close to the subway station. Although I was surprised that there was no refrigerator in my room, it was a comfortable stay at this hotel for 3 days.

Hotel surpassed my expectations- very nice service, large room. They could update the exercise room a bit. Location is excellent. Very nice staff.

Have stayed at marriot on Bloor st a couple of times and its a nice hotel with a good location. Clean rooms and accurate service. Very good gym. Haven’t seen that in so many other hotels.

Room clean, well maintained and quiet. Air conditioning functioned well. Subway station and shopping center under hotel. Very convenient. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Direct access into huge Hudson Bay Company department store in shopping center under hotel. Decent inexpensive food in English style pub across the street.

Great central location, near subway and walking distance to shops, museums, reataurants, rooms nicely appointed, clean and spacious and QUIET. wonderfully comfortable beds, low key understated. I love this place.

Great Hotel, Convenient to all Toronto destinations.

This was a great place to stay; rooms were spacious and well kept. The hotel restaurant was excellent. This Hotel is located right above the train station and a shopping mall which is underground. You can purchase any Items. There is also a beverage center in the mall. Restaurants were close by and the great things to see in Toronto were not far away.

Traveler's tip

Beware of the taxi drivers. They will ask you were you are from. If you let them know that you are a tourist they will rip you off. Just give them your destination and keep small talk to a minimum.
