Great location; wonderful staff
The location was great; walking distance to the beach and many fine restaurants. Buffet breakfast was the best we had in the four hotels where we stayed in our two-week vacation. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean but very old. Two warnings to future guests: (1) there is no lift and the circular marble staircase may be difficult for some older or disabled guests, and (2) the shower is unbelievably tiny -- your elbows knock against the plastic walls when reaching up to wash your hair.

Excellent location
The best feature of this hotel is its location - only a short walk (two blocks) from the world-famous Promenade des Anglais. You are also within walking distance to a beautiful museum and garden and a pedestrian street with its variety of restaurants and boutiques. Our room was small but very clean and cosy, the staff attentive and helpful. Will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Nice!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Be sure to take advantage of the excellent bus transportation system along the Cote d’Azur - for just 1 euro you can get pretty much anywhere: Monaco, Antibe, St.Tropez... and the bus terminal is only about 10-15 min walk! Who needs to rent a car?!

Great value, cute hotel
We enjoyed staying a Rue Rivoli. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, which more than made up for the need for upgrading the hotel. Great location, near cafe’s, beach, grocery, laundrymat. Excellent breakfast out in the garden for 10 euro’s each.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Map quest directions to Villa Rivoli from the airport ahead of time. We arrived after hours and had a heck of a time finding hotel, although during daylight it’s easy to see where you are.
