Way better than we expected
Rooms are small, but quite adequate. Each room has a double bed with a bunk bed above. Each room has a small bathroom with a toilet, sink and shower. Again, small, but adequate. The continental breakfast was a very pleasant surprise. They put out a really good selection of cereals, bread, rolls, yogurt, juice, meat and coffee, cappucino, or espresso. The management went way out of thier way to give us anything we needed. Overall, this is a very good value.

Did not suit my needs
The Bonsai Hotel in Belfort is great for a traveller just passing through, one or two nights max. I was supposed to be there for 15 nights while I searched for an apartment, and could have left after one night but since a friend had a reservation there that weekend too, left after 4 nights. The beds are hard as rocks, the rooms are tiny, damp, and without heat, I was continuously cold. Its really bad when I told the locals I work with where I was to stay, and they pulled up their noses and told me to be careful and pay attention. The manager was really nice about refunding my money for the 7 nights I didnt stay there, but I was required by Expedia to pay up front for the whole 15 night stay, and had trouble getting 11 nights refunded.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Do not book any hotel that requires you to pay for your stay up front.
