Good Stay
The hotel for the price is ok, has a complimentary breakfast, and the neighbourhood is very nice, including a beach and a very nice Irish Pub. The room is very big and confortable.

Location is Good
The only thing that irked me was that local calls were not free and fax services should be improved.

Good For The Location
For those of us young travelers that go to Toronto specifically for the Nightlife, this Hotel fits the bill as a place to crash when the evening comes to a close. The most important thing at that point is a comfortable bed, and it was notably a very good nights sleep. The room had an ambient musty aroma upon arrival, but the nose quickly adjusted. As far as cleanliness, there werent any real issues. The shower head was powerful, and the TV provided a good line up of cheesy horror movies to set the tone for All Hallows Eve. There was only one person available at the desk at all hours, the day clerk was friendly but a bit flustered by our quick north American speech patterns. I did find it a bit strange at night, when a dark and brooding male directed me to tap water in the foyer lounge upon my claim to be dying of thirst. No bottled water in the vending machine? Really? Anyhow, we had a blast and the location was full of character, and as Americans werent particularly freaked out to discover there had been a shooting in front of the Duke Of York Tavern a couple blocks down. A poor young girl had caught a stray bullet during a confrontation (rare as they are in Toronto) and two people staying at our hotel had witnessed it up close. In conclusion, if you are the young adventurous type that isnt interested in luxury when experiencing the city, this Hotel is just fine. Otherwise, you may want to consider a different part of town.
