Great Service
I thought the service was great. The desk help spoke English very well. The bell-hop guy was really helpful and even helped hail me a cab once and tell the taxi driver (in Chinese) where I wanted to go. The breakfast buffet was weird, but that was more cultural than any sort of service oriented thing. The room was really clean. And when I called for more toilet paper, they brought it right away.

Do not believe all the negative reviews
I was hesitants after reading negative reviews. Hotel was very standard for Asia. Yes, beds are FIRM! Hotel staff DOES understand some English. Room was small, but nice. It was clean and a/c worked good. Bellboys are GREAT. Everyone was helpful. Great location to Forbidden City and easy to get to other places. Recommend having a printed map of otel location and address in Chinese for taxi’s.
