Not the Hilton, but it worked for me!
I selected this hotel based on price and previous reviews. This place was exactly as described at a price far less than my friends paid for lesser rooms in the city center. The little kitchen was more complete than I expected, including 2 ways of making coffee, all utensils, pans, and of course a wine screw. The 3 rating for cleanliness was only b/c the bedspread had a grease mark. All else was fine.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Yes, bus 6 stops nearby, and also goes right by the downtown fountain and train station. (Look for the Kyrie Hotel as your hotel landmark, since the Citea is down a small and quiet alleyway off the main drag.) PS: City is full of students, therefore night life seems vibrant , while (a few blocks away) outdoor cafes were quite suitable for business discussions.

Good deal (for Aix en Provence)
Any traveler to Aix should know that Southern France (and Aix in particular) is a very expensive place and packed with tourists. The hotel is within walking distance of downtown (25 - 30 minutes) and if you take the bus (line 6), it will take not even 10 minutes and costs 1.10 Euro (buses run every 15 minutes between 6 am and 9 pm). Given its location, the price and the size of the rooms (with little kitchenette), this is a very good deal. The people at the reception are mostly friendly and helpful.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Theres a big supermarket (Geant Casino) only 10 minutes walking from the hotel. Youll find everything you need at very good prices

Good price near downtown and with a small kitchen / office desk
The hotel was better than I expected. The front desk were very helpful and all of them speak English very well. The room was OK. It had a little kitchen so we saved some money there having breakfast and dinner in the room. The wireless high speed internet was very good (I had to work a little bit, so it saved me). It was a 15 minutes walk to the downtown, and there was also a huge market (Geant Casino) 10 minutes walk from the hotel (opposite direction to downtown).
