a good hotel at a good price - excellent value
The hotel was clean and comfortable with fridge and wifi available in room, though the latter was a little expensive. Staff were very friendly and eager to provide us with useful information. Breakfast was generous and varied. The hotel was a little out of the centre, 15-20 minute walk, and area was a bit noisy but otherwise had everything nearby. Overall, Hotel Scandanavia, was a great hotel service for those travelling on a budget and I would reccomend it to others.

Do not stay here
Hotel is in the Anderlecht section of Brussels. While some parts of this neighborhood are nice, this is a borderline/bad neighborhood. We asked the desk clerk if the neighborhood is safe at night. Her response - no. Once we saw the room (which had an odor and was dirty) - that was it. We decided to leave.

Bad 2 star hotel in a bad location
We visited Brussels from California, USA and to be honest, did not like the hotel at all which in turn affected our impression of Brussels. It is in a bad lower town location and we were a little bit scared to walk to the hotel after getting out of nearby metro station. Hotel room was quite small. Only saving grace was the complementary breakfast served (only if youre OK to watched by the cook about how many croissants youre taking). Bottom line is dont get a hotel by # of miles/kms from city center. It is very misleading and this is the perfect example.
