Beautifully Built/ Poorly Maintained
During a three day stay, my room was cleaned and the beds made up twice. For the Sunday, the staff couldn’t be bothered even though the room was free by noon. The large veranda overlooking the river was dirty most of the time. No one ever picks up drink glasses, empties ash trays, or spruces things up. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times; it is a beautiful property, but generally poorly maintained. I would recommend it since there is no other comparable in the area. But the first opportunity that another hotel of a similar standard is opened, you will definitely be losing another customer.

Pleasantly surprised
All around very good experience. I would have liked some other choice than a $10.95 buffet breakfast, but the room, cleaniness, service were all good.

Not Impresed
Don’t know where to start. Of the two room that were booked one was ok the other was bad. The bad one had a very poor maintained bed and box spring and several stains on the carpet. The hotel was very noisy. When I went down to the business center to check e-mails there were several children fighting over the two conputers as to who would play GAMES on it next. When I went to the pool and hot tub there were 27 children playing in both without supervision. This went on for the three days I was there. The night I arrived there was a band playing out side and was very loud. The maid came to our room while we were there and left. We left the room 2 or 3 minutes later she was still outside of our door and we spoke but she did not clean our room. I don’t know why! The wait staff at the in house restaurant for breckfast service was great! They could not have been a more plesent group of people!! I also did not know but when I looked there was a perfect view of a grave yard out my window. I have worked at a 5 star 5 diamnod resort and I know that I should not expect that kind of service for the money I spent. But a little quiet I don’t think is too unreasonable. Check out was quick and painless. Except for trying to get to our cars and getting a cart for the bags. They need to have someone to help with traffic at the front door at least on days when the hotel is having a major turn over in guests. I will not go back.
