Nice Place to Stay
I was impressed overall with the helpful staff. They went out of the way to make the stay very pleasant. Dining room prices were a bit much, but there is a LeClerc store across the street (similar to a super Walmart) where you can get sliced meats and cheeses and the great French bread. The store also has bottled water by the case (cheap), and wine, etc. We saved lots of Euros eating in our room. At the train station, about two blocks away, you can get a train direct to Eifel Tower-Champs Elysee area, and it connects to Metro to get you anywhere in Paris. A 3-day pass for unlimited riding is very reacsonable. This little hotel is out of the mainstream, but well connected to mid-town. Good place to base from.

They should suggest if it’s a smoking or non-smoking room. Not all garbage was removed from room daily. Toilet paper was not replenished daily. They should retrain their housekeeping staff.
Find out where is the nearest metro station or bus station first before booking. This hotel required a 15 minute walk to the metro station.

Good Place to stay outside of Paris
Close to the metro and the surrounding neighborhood seemed safe. We walked to the hotel from the metro (about a 1/4 mile) at night and it was fine. The hotel was clean and the staff spoke good English.
