Not Impressed will never go back or recommend

DO NOT book this hotel if you have any sort of health problems especially heart related. There isnt an elevator and the stairs are steep more like nearly vertical. You carry your luggage down a passageway that is only maybe 3 feet wide. The smell from the mold in carpet will knock you back a step, nasty & musty. The rooms DO NOT have air conditioning as advertised, unless you count opening the window. I woke up covered in mosquito bites. Venice is incredibly humid; the room felt wet and cold all the time. We reserved a queen-sized bed; its 2 twins pushed together & made up as a queen. The mattresses; hard, lumpy, and bare springs poking through in multiple places. The pillows; hard & thin as bath towels. We woke up in pain EVERY morning, lower back, neck, and hips. The bathrooms were the worst. The drain in the floor didnt have a damper & raw sewage gas vented constantly into the bathroom. It was gagable. The showers are small , if you dropped something you have to step out of the shower there isnt enough room to bend down. The shower runs hot then cold water would cycle through. Every 5 seconds you are blasted with cold water then scorched with hot. Be for-warned this hotel is above a restaurant that closes around 11pm. Our room was in the back, all day the exhaust smell from the restaurant came right back into our room. I cant find anything redeeming about this hotel. We just wanted to leave.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

From the bus station to this or any hotel you will drag your luggage over 4 bridges, try to arrive by train the station is on the same side as this hotel, or a water taxi is 45 euro. Find a hotel that has free transport to the bus/train station. Dont plan a trip to Venice July-Sept. The city closed because of the summer heat and re-opens mid-September, the place is packed late Sept. & the rates are higher.
