Expect a very small room if you get a double size bed...however if you opt for a larger bed, the room will be more comfortable, also a room that isn’t on the street will be alot more quiet.

Would stay there again
The hotel is in the center of the city yet very quiet at night. The owners are quite congenial and helpful. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Don’t be fooled by the hotel’s bland non-descript exterior appearance on a side alley. The inside is clean,tidy, and efficient.

If you like trams, a brand new line through the heart of Marseille just opened this year (2007) and is worth a ride on.

We will go back to this hotel again.
This hotel is located in walking distance from Vieux Port where the subway station and Tourist Information office are located. The owner and hotel staff spoke fluent English and were very kind. I do not believe any vehicular traffic was allowed in the street adjoining this hotel, so traffic noise was very minimal.
The St. Charles Train station and main bus depot are within two stops from the Vieux Port station and this made our daily excursions to other cities very convenient. There’s a department store "Lafayette" approx. four blocks away (not the one next to this hotel) that offers variety of food choices in the basement, if you want to stock up bottled water, local food, etc.
