Great Location and breakfast
We loved our stay in Palermo. The hotel has an excellent location. We were able to get around the city by bus. We even went to Monreale and Giardinello with no difficulty. We had trouble communicating with the people at the front desk, but consider that as our problem, not theirs. They made several phone calls to the airline trying to locate our lost luggage, and were able to get directions for us when we wanted to take a bus to Giardinello. They suggested taxis, but when we said we wanted to travel by bus, they made some phone calls for us and were able to give us directions. We would go back again!
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Take the bus everywhere. Palermo’s bus system is terrific. We avoided the taxis, and safed lots of euros. We noticed throughout Italy, the hotel people are quick to suggest a taxi whenever you ask for directions. But we got along just fine with public transportation.

Early Arrival
We arrived early after taking an overnight ferry from Naples to Palermo. Hotel Joli let us check in and start using our room at 8am on our day of arrival. The hotel also has one of the better continental breakfast buffets I’ve had at an Italian hotel.
