Great rooms.....that’s it.
The rooms at Aleksandar Palas hotel are all small suites situated in the heart of old belgrade. A great location and the rooms are very nice and clean. However, that’s about it. Don’t expect any other amenities offered by 5 star hotels. There is no lobby, no other common areas, no gyms, pools or anything else apart from the rooms. It is an expensive bed and breakfast, rather than a 5 star hotel. The beakfast is served in a dark, basement restaurant, and the choices are extremely poor: an a la carte menu offering a choice of fried eggs, scrambled eggs or poached eggs!! Don’t expect the personal touch of a small hotel either.
