Conditional recommendation
The Titania is a generally nice hotel in a good location. The staff all speak perfect English and the breakfast is outstanding, one of the best Ive ever had in Europe. But the rooms are another story. What I booked on Expedia was little more than a broom closet looking into an air shaft. My wife almost cried when she saw the room. I spent more than 30 minutes arguing with the desk about getting a better room. I eventually got the better room (for the same rate) but it was still nothing special. It had nice sunlight, but little else. So use caution when making reservations, even in the off season.

Excellent choice
Well located, well priced by ASthens standards, nice breakfast in the morning, accomodations had two rooms connected by small hallway. Had room for extra folks if necessary. Bathroom was small but servicable.
Traveler's tip
We came into the ariport at 2:30 am and the cab ride was twice the price if we had come in before 11:00 pm. I think the ride was about 80 Euros.

They spent tons on the lobby and nothing else - stay away
I booked a "superior" double room and when we got the room it was clearly not "superior" in any way. Paint was peeling, the only views were of the building across from us (and we were on the 7th floor.) The only view this hotel has is on the rooftop restaurant which is a major ripoff. One drink there was four times what you would pay in a 5-star hotel bar in San Francisco (which are expensive). The floors are NOT air conditioned - only the lobby and the guest rooms are air conditioned. When we asked for a better room we were told that our room was superior, and the room they offered to move us to was a few doors down and just as bad. The lobby of the hotel is fabulous - everything else is a two-star hotel at best. Dont waste your money here. You will regret it.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Dont stay at the Hotel Titania - you will pay 5-star prices for 2-star rooms.
