Convenient Tokyo hotel at good price
The hotel is near 3 different metro lines and less than a mile from the Shimbashi JR station. JR is 720 yen ride away. Narita bus (3000 yen) stops at Okura Hotel which is a 5 minute walk or 720 yen cab ride away. Rooms in original wing are small but they have a refrigerator. Internet is in lobby and costs 100 yen for 10 minutes. Above the hotel, near the Atago shrine is a real Japanese restaurant where a prix fixe lunch is 1500 yen.
Shibuya is non-stop people, dining, pubs, shopping.

Good times.
It was only for one night but I really liked all the little freebies that went with it too. For a biz hotel (for salarymen) it had alot of ammenties. It was also quite affordable (compared to other expensive places). It was also close to Rappongi which was the main reason why we decided to stay in this hotel. Taxi was only 910!

Definitely recommend, especially for budget travellers
Very good hotel for the price, definitely recommend. - Good quiet area, where various consulates, including American Consulate is. It is in Central Tokyo, very close to about 3 to 4 train stations on different lines. - From Narita airport, if you do plan to take the limousine bus, take the limousine bus service that drops you at Tokyo Prince Hotel. From there it is a straight 10m walk. On one end of Tokyo Prince Hotel you will see the Zozoji Temple, you want to go in the other Direction. - For Toranamon Station on the Ginza line, walk left out of the hotel lobby for about 4 to 5 traffic lights and take a left (on a big 4-6 lane street), walk a couple of blocks and you will see a small entrance (similar to NYC subway entrances). - I did not have an electric plug converter for my laptop, the Hotel has those for a deposit of 1000 Yen which they will return. - Rooms are small but very nice. - Wired Internet is free and Ethernet cables are in the room. - There is a hot water kettle and instant coffee and green tea. - They have washer/dryer available for 100 Yen in the Hotel. - Walking distance to various tourist spots.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
- Get a Subway map and a Tokyo map, either before hand, or from the airport. - If you can, get Tokyo/Japan maps loaded on your GPS. Street signs are in Japanese and its a little hard to find spots once you are walking. - Vegetarians: Harder to find but available. All Indian restaurants should have vegetarian meals and there are quite a few in Tokyo. - Very few places accept credit cards, have cash o hand. - Taxis are very expensive, start at 710 Yen.
