Very pleasant triple rooms, good internet
I stayed at the Elite Hotel while on business in Istanbul, and stayed on afterwards with my family for a bit of tourism. Our triple room was quite large and very comfortable for three people. The refrigerator was a nice touch, too. Up on the 8th floor, the free wireless internet coverage was spotty, and so we sat in the lobby if we wanted to do something substantial on the internet. The staff were friendly and reasonably helpful. We enjoyed the wide variety of nearby restaurants. On the downside, the rooms were quite hot and dry, even though it was cold outside and we turned the heat off in our room. We slept with the window cracked open to regulate the temperature. Also, for touring in the old part of town, the hotels location in Taksim Square is a bit remote, and it is more expensive than an equivalent hotel would be in the old part of town. The hotel breakfast offered many options, none of them so exciting that we werent willing to sleep in and miss breakfast. All in all, we would not hesitate to stay at the Elite Hotel again, especially with three people traveling together.
The Elite Hotels triple rooms are much better than youll find in most European hotels.
