Great value
Nice hotel with friendly staff. Room is fairly small, but well equipped and very comfy. Great shower. A steal at the price, and still great value after paying for taxi rides back and forth to the city centre.

Campanile
While I am usually able to shrug off a hotels inconsistencies given a low price, the Campanile in Glasgow made that hard to do. First of all, it was damned hard finding the place. We were lost for two hours. The first thing I noticed about the halls was the overwhelming odor of disinfectant, an acrid one at that. Then the room: if it had been any smaller, there would have been no room at all at the foot of the beds. Oh, and the beds were uncomfortably soft. They would do well to offer a users manual for the unsuspecting traveler. How was I to know that you were supposed to put your key card in the slot and leave it there to keep the lights on? And how was I supposed to know that the way to open the sink drain was to push it down? Trial and error was the only way. Nice shower.
