Good and Bad
The hotel is right on the ocean which is nice. The room was very small - Classic Ocean View room. You couldnt get around the bed hardly. I had to call maintenance, the toilet seat was very loose, the shower hose needed replaced or fixed, water was shooting out everywhere. The toilet did not flush peoperly (no pressure). the Pool & the jacuzzi is small. I had a hard time getting a cup of ice and water from the pool bar. The bottle water is $5.00! So I had my own water which I got from the grocery store down the street a 6pk for $3.00. I just wanted a cup of ice she would put in 2 cubes, or just give my cold water no ice. Said the water is cold enough! for what I paid to stay there, give me my cup of ice!! Had breakfast - very pricey, and hardly no food. The Ventura mall is nice, you need to take a cab which is roughly $10.00 one way. It was cheaper to eat there for dinner. I would recommend the Ocean Front 1 bedroom suite. I looked at that one before I left the hotel. Only you get half a view, you are not in the middle, there all on the side. The valet guys are nice. The exercise room was sort of trashy. Alot of weight machines, didnt see any treadmills. Nice beach, Nice view - otherwise expensive. A $16.00 extra hotel fee a day.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
There is no nightlife, you have to go to South beach. You pretty much need a car to get anywhere, or you will have to pay for the taxi. There is a bus, but I didnt use it. Ventura Mall is very nice. If you have a kitchen, go to the grocery store and get some food items there. Expensive stay
