Easy as pie to relax
My husband and I brought our 3 yr old to the Lodge and she had a wonderful time. This was our first visit and it was enough to keep her entertained for 2 1/2 days and was super easy to enjoy the place. It had everything right there in the hotel and we are already planning a return trip in the fall. I recommend the Critter Camp breakfast buffet, the cost is the same at Denny’s and you have unlimited selections. Kids 4 and under eat free. Food generally wasn’t cheap, but reasonably priced and there was a lot of it and you could bring it back to the room fridge for later (unless you did the buffet). We packed a cooler for snacks too. If you’ve got a 3 and under child, try the Storybook Gardens place next store to the Wisconsin Ducks ride. You can get a coupon for $2 off admission per person but the feed the giraffes exhibit is what made our day. They have camel rides too! They also have an animal expert that gives a nice show and touch seminar for the kids at certain times. The place needs updating (looks like it’s from the 1950’s) but our 3 yr old never noticed. I enjoyed the nearby outlet mall and spa at the lodge but go on your last day otherwise your nail polish will come off in the chlorine! We also spent time at Kunckleheads indoor amusement park, also well worth the money if you’ve got a child who loves to ride on the rides!

safest waterpark in the dells
from the minute we got there to the time we left it was a great getaway. the rooms were clean and comfy...the food was great and fair priced...but what impressed me the most was the attentiveness of the lifeguards..i sat reading while my kids 12 and 13 swam ..i found a table, which never seemed difficult anytime of the day, by the entrance (which there is only one way in the park and one way out) safety feature #1.. where they could easily report back every half hour..i watched the lifeguards while they were on duty walk the perimeter of the pool constantly..they checked all corners of their pool they were in charge of..really observing all the kids while they played and stopping bad or dangerous behavior..i was amazed to find out the next lifeguard, and the next, all did the same..this happens even in more detail when they switch lifeguards..i have been to many parks where the lifeguards are there to look good or have fun with there friends and dont pay any attention..the great wolf has an amazing lifeguard group and you should feel very safe letting your kids play and allowing you to relax..have a great trip!!!
