Close to Caserta Palace
It is about 2 blocks from the hotel to the entrance for the palace at Caserta, but it is not a difficult walk. We enjoyed seeing the palace and grounds. Our room was pleasant and compact, rather like a cabin on a cruise ship. We had enough room for our things for the two nights we stayed. They offered a nice continental style breakfast along with the room which included fresh baked goods. Parking was at a ramp about a block away, but you could unload your car at the front door.
Traveler's tip on shopping
The hotel is just across the park from a busy shopping area. The stores were open 10-1 and 5-8. Lots of people walking in the area so we were not afraid to be out after dark. Several restaurants available.

Good location, poorly maintained.
The location is great, the middle of the city and 2 minute walk from the gardens and castle. our room was small, decor was plain, and the bathroom was poorly maintained. The shower head was broken, and we were too tired to call the front office, though non doubt they new about the problem...The staff was nice and cooperative.
