Room 101
The diary provided by the owner was useful for deciding where to eat and what to do. Like others who commented in the diary, the bed is very uncomfortable and is also very, very noisy. Get up and you are sure to wake your partner with the squeaking.

The shrimp embrochette at the Pelican Landing was my favorite.

Loved the location
Upon entering the room we found it to be roomier than we anticipated. There was wear on all the furniture and a bit of rust on the fridge but otherwise the room was clean. The cabinets and counters were recently updated. All the amendities were available in the room, such as pots and pans, dishes, and even a toaster The beds advertised for an effeciency were noted as a queen which actually were more of a a full size, but still comfortable. The front desk person was very personable and accommodating. We noted no cleaning service during our stay which didn’t bother us since we don’t like being interupted in the mornings. We visited during the down time in early fall and it was very quiet and pleasant. The grounds around the buildings and the pool area were very nice and the location was excellent. It is just a short walk behind the buildings to the beach and it was very accessable. We will definately stay here again.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
Go to Happy Hour at Landrys in Corpus, they have an excellent Maui Taui, and appetizers for a very reasonable price. Take a cruise around the bay on a local boat. It was very pretty.

Great getaway place
I was celebrating my birthday, I had the most wonderful time, since it was off season, we had the pool all to ourselves. Service people were great.
