GREAT HOTEL; WISH IT COULD BE MOVED TO A BETTER AREA
Loved the breakfast buffet. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The large swiming pool and fully equipped fitness center and sauna are nice also. It’s not a safe area for walking at night however. If you need to get out of your room and walk around, go to the Centro Recreo Shopping Mall next door.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Be careful of the Lobby Bar. A shot of whiskey is frightfully expensive. They need to have a proper Lounge with big screen TV, etc...

Very good and so nice hotel
Gran Melia is a very good hotel. Facilities are quite good and the decoration of rooms is so beautiful. I recomend this hotel for a family, or those people who are looking for a confortable stay.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Exchange rate of local currency is so different beetwen oficial rate and the non oficial rate (at streets). You can get 6000 bolivares for each dolar instad of just 2000 bolivares.
