Affordable and clean
I stayed at this hotel the weekend of Sept 25 2009. The hotel is tiny, quaint and off the beaten path, but I really enjoyed my stay there. It was quiet, and I was able to get a good nights rest, which is all I did at the hotel. The internet connection was free but not fabulous (I had trouble using my Skype account). But the room was really well-kept and clean. The staff was very friendly and spoke English (which is a rarity in Tokyo!). They drew me maps to the train station and to the ANA Hotel, which is where I picked up the airport shuttle bus (about US$30 each way) and met up for my Hato bus tour. I found myself accessing the city via the Ginza line, Akasaka-Mitsuke station, because it was more convenient. Akasaka-Mitsuke is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. On the positive, this route had far more restaurants and activities, so you wont have trouble finding a convenience store or a bite to eat. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and highly recommend.

Off the beaten path, but very nice
This is a lovely place, and the staff were so accommodating and friendly. Free internet, via ethernet cable, in room was great and fast. Quiet neighborhood in a corporate part of town, so not much nightlife nearby. Get a good subway map and go to Shibuya and Shinjuku.

Would definately return to B Akasaka
The B Akasaka was fantastic. The room has black out blinds, a bar fridge, comfortable beds, pyjamas and a rainshower. There is only 1 english tv channel (free to air). There are vending machines for drinks and coin operated washing machine and dryer on Level 1. The staff are helpful. The is free internet and an expresso machine in the foyer. The location is a short walk to 2 train stations and a short cab ride to Tokyo Station.
