Amazing Suites

This was a great place to stay. I believe they are all 2-bedroom suites, and they are extremely nice. We had 4 adults and 2 children and had plenty of room. The bathrooms (one with jacuzzi tub) were especially nice. We almost hated to leave to see the sights. We stayed on a Wednesday to get a great rate, since the rate went up a large amount for a Thursday and into the weekend. Definitely a steal if you can pick it up at a during-the-week low rate.

There’s a playground and an indoor swimming pool. You can also literally walk to the outlets.

Wonderful Experience.

We cannot fault the Hotel, everything about it was first class, we would highly recommend staying here.

Hotel location is excellent! Shopping outlets and restaurants right across from the hotel. Hershey Park is about 1 mile from the hotel.

Still not sure what to think...

I have visited Hershey MANY times. This time, my wife and I took my mother-in-law and our two small kids with us. I loved the fact that the hotel was only three minutes away from Hershey Gardens and Zoo America. I even walked to Hershey Park alone (the kids are too small to go, so we took them to Dutch Wonderland). The hotel is right across the street (not a main highway) from The Outlets at Hershey. For some reason, although the hotel gives you a list of local restaurants, they don’t mention the Wendy’s or Red Robin right next to the outlets. The rooms were very spaceous and nicely laid out - my daughter and mother-in-law slept in the bedroom with two double beds and their own bathroom. My wife and I had a queen bed and our son slept in a hotel-provided pack-and-play in the living room. Everyone was fine. Until... Ah, the trains. Now, these are the trains that bring the cocoa beans to the factory, mind you. However, they share the line with Conrail. Some of the trains are as quiet as you might expect they could be during the night. However, others weren’t and blew their whistles near the hotel during the night. It made for two somewhat sleepless nights. Overall, a tough call. The rooms are wonderful - better than I expected, actually - and the place is centrally located. It’s very clean and the folks at the front desk are friendly and helpful. However, I would suggest requesting a room in the building closest to the main road instead. Perhaps it’s quieter, but who knows...

Bring dry goods and canned goods with you from home if you can - breakfast items especially. You can pick up a container of milk and/or other items at the Turkey Hill gas station / mini-mart between The Outlets at Hershey and Hershey Park. Hershey Park has a Sunset Admission price after about 4pm (depending on the day) that’s about half the cost of regular admission. Oh, and bring your kids to Hershey Gardens. They’ll love it all - especially the Children’s Garden and the Butterfly House.

Not impressed

Parking is very tight especially with other rude guests blocking the entire driveway, the shower curtain in the double room was covered in MOLD!!! I loved having a full kitchen and living room and the location was great.

Can’t wait to go back

We love The Suites at Hershey, my family and I will not stay at another hotel. We have stayed 3 times and already looking forward towards next year

great for families

We spent two nights. We traveled with me, my husband, mom, sister, and two children (8 and 10 years old). It was great for a large family. The two bedrooms were spacious. It was great to have two bathrooms with so many people. The kids slept on the pull out couch in the living room and was comfy. What I love about the suite option is that meals could be on our schedule and accomodate all needs. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking needs. It was relaxing and very accomodating for all ages. The pool was lovely too. I would definitely visit again!

Buy your tickets for Hershey Park at the Giant supermarket. They are $7 cheaper than buying them at the gate.

Hershey’s best rental option

I enjoyed the room. It was located near the park, shopping etc... I was provided with a wonderful 2 room suite with kitchen, jacuzzi, washer and dryer... It was very comfortable for the entire family. We had more than enough space.

Hershey Suites are First Class

I highly recommend Hershey Suites for a stay in the Hershey area. Clean, large, nice rooms. Located right at the outlet shops and a very short drive to Hershey Park. Would definitely go there again.

This was a great place with spacious rooms and a full kitchen. We were only here for one night. Would have loved to stay longer.

There’s a Walmart about 10 minutes away. Stock up on groceries to eat healthier and save on dining out costs.

Home away from home

Our suite in Hershey was better than we could have imagined: available on time, cleanliness throughout, large enough to accommodate our family of 6, etc.

Hershey Park and The Outlets of Hershey are directly across from the Suites at Hershey. Family fun activities like Bounce-U and Chocolate world are nearby.

Very comfortable!

This resort hotel was great - and, the location is perfect for us. We travel to Hershey several times a year just to get away from the stress of the Washington DC area. I especially enjoyed the indoor pool complex. I have Osteoperosis and Arthritis, which limit me from a lot of other physical exercises (even walking too much). So, I take Water Aerobics classes at a facility near where we live. Therefore, I can keep up with my regiment there at this resort. We have a two week timeshare at a Marriott Resort in Orlando, FL that we love. But, ocassionally we trade for stays at other resorts around the country (Myrtl Beach, Cape Cod, Gatlinburg, Branson etc.), and this resort is as good as any of the resorts mentioned above. I hope you will offer us a chance to visit this resort again, at the special rate we were able to get on this past trip.

Great Time w/kids

This hotel was execellent. My children and I were able to see the rides from our room. The employees were friendly and extremely helpful. We went outside to walk around one night and the doors locked behind us, but there were security guards walking the area and let us in. We also met someother guests who were also very impressed with the hotel and safety. The kids really enjoyed swimming in BOTH pools, enjoyed going to the game room. We were able to WALK to the shopping area and had help finding a place to go grocery shopping and purchase our discounted ticket for the park. It was a very short ride to Hershey Park which was great because we went to the hotel for dinner and back to the park afterwards.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Go to Giant’s Grocery Store and purchase your tickets the first day you go shopping for food. Their discounted the tickets do no expire the day you purchase them(a $3.00 additional discount than the coupons you get at the local store @home). Also, you can visit the park the night before and the parking ticket is good for the night and the next day (savings of $10).

Very nice!

Loved the suites! Lots of room and very nice set up. Very quiet, even with the trains which are not very noisy anyways. Bedrooms have excellent window coverings that make them nice and dark (my own pet requirement). I would have expected the rooms to more pristine given the price. There was a layer of dust on all the bottom rungs of chairs and the baseboards/woodwork really needed a good cleaning. Light fixtures were also dusty. These are things I do not wish to see when I am paying this much money for a stay. I expect a higher standard.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Bring earplugs if the frequent rumblings of trains will bother you. I am sensitive to noise but with ear plugs, I slept fine.

Great Place to Stay

Our family, including 16 month old twins, stayed there and it was great. The hotel is very close to many attractions and right next door to Hershey Park which was very convenient. We had one minor issue with our air conditioning, but as soon as the problem was reported they were there to fix it within 1/2 hour. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, especially families.

Great hotel

We recently stayed here when we went to Hershey Park. It is very nice and the rooms are spacious. There are 2 full baths, one with a jacuzzi & separate stall shower & the other a bath tub & shower. It was very clean and the full kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, glasses and pots & pans so we didn’t have to eat out for every meal. There’s a full size fridge, oven & dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot & even a blender. Oh & washer & dryer unit in the room. Very nice for the price. The only thing I can complain about is that it is not very "child-proof". If you have small children I recommend asking for a first floor room. The windows are easily able to be opened & they are low to the floor. Children could easily fall out. Also we had to put the sharp knives up in a high cabinet. We also had to lock the security lock above the door knob because my 3 year old could easily open the door & go out of the room. The pools were nice. The outdoor pool was nice & warm. The indoor pool was nice. There’s a 1 foot kiddie pool next to the large pool, but beware the edge of the pool is very slippery. My little guy slipped twice & fell. Other than that I definitely recommend this hotel. And thank you to the other reviewer for telling us about the discounted tickets to Hershey Park at the Giant Supermarket. Don’t confuse it with the big GIANT stadium next to Hershey Park.

Sweet Deal at Suites at Hershey

What a great find. Stayed here for a soccer tournament. While the rest of the team stayed in cramped hotel rooms, we had a two bedroom, two bath condo, with washer/dryer, full size kitchen, and plenty of room to spread out, and it was cheaper than the hotel room group rate. This is a timeshare place, but they must offer some rooms as a hotel. At check-in, was asked if wanted to listen to a presentation, but declined and no further discussion. Maid service is extra, which is fine for just a couple of nights. Room was very quiet, even though next to railroad tracks. Across from outlet mall and a few lights away from Hershey Park. Sweet!

Great hotel

This is a great hotel that is maybe a mile or 2 from the park. Staff is geat.

Plenty of Room

The hotel was very clean. The service was good. The rooms were nicely decorated and there was plenty of room. It was also nice to have a refrigerator and an inside pool. It also had a nice fitness center. Plus, the hot homemade cookies were great!

Very close to Hershey Park and The Outlets are in walkable distance. A variety of restaurants and easy to get to from Route 78.

A Few Issues!!

I will start off by saying that the hotel is beautiful and very well kept. Our room was very clean! As soon as we stepped into the room- it reeked of cigarette smoke. Seeing that it was a non-snoking room and we are a non-smoking family- this was distasteful. I complained as soon as we got there and they said "Sorry". After the first night we discovered that all the linens smelt as well- we complained again and we were promised new linens- We got back to the hotel that evening and the linens were never changed- I called back and was brought new linens which I had to change at 9:00 at night. I complained to the manager upon checkout and was told "Sorry" yet again and if I ever decided to use that hotel again he would "take care of me"! Poor customer service!!

The outlets were great!! Eat at the Red Robin- Fantastic burgers!!! Cook your own breakfast- not much around in the AM!!
