well located and comfortable but noisy
the location was great close to chestnut and union. easy walk to marina. The room was clean and comfortable but we were on the second floor and the people on the third floor were constantly walking back and forth for a large part of the night. we complained but they were still very noisy. Suggest you stay on the third floor to avoid this.

Free Parking
Great location to area attrations and bus routes. Free parking is the real perk here. Still think the hotel/motel is overpriced.

Great Location In Trendy Part of Frisco!
I recommend Hotel Del Sol to those whom enjoy using the city’s transit system. There is a bus nearby that will take you five minutes to Fisherman’s Wharf, the Cable Cars and Trolleys. I had a great time walking two blocks up from the hotel to trendy Union Street where there are cool bars, shops and eateries. The hotel staff is VERY slow on simple requests. I requested a fridge and was told it would be sent up momentarily. I had to request it in person two more times and then a final time when I returned to my room and found it had not been brought in. Other than that I loved my experience at the hotel but SERVICE should be NUMBER ONE.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Hotel Del Sol is definintely a bargain property. It was a motel transformed into a boutique hotel. The beds are excellent!
